Mesut Ozil & Sami Khadira – Future of German Football and Facilitators of Muslim Integration In Germany?

Germany outclassed Argentina comprehensively in this match in which Germany scored 4 goals and made their way to the semi-final of this first ever world cup in South Africa. Even Angela Merkel was showing some emotions after a torrid week in Germany’s politics.
Germany were too good at counter attacking football and after soaking up some great Argentinian attacks made inroads into the Argentinian half and scored more often than not.
Germany had two players of Muslim descent Mesut Ozil & Sami Khadira and both of them played vital part in Germany’s win. If Germany can win this world cup it might do a lot for the integration of Muslims in Germany and Germans may finally accept them as Germans who are as committed to the Fatherland as they are. One can only hope.

    Holland has beaten Uruguay. Lets see who they meet in the finals. Germany or Spain? I would like to see Germany vs Holland final.

    Well, Germany is out but to be fair Spain was the better team during most of the match. This is a young team and if they stick together for while, they will become a true force.

A day after major Indian cities were placed on high alert following blasts in the IT city of Bangalore, as many as 17 blasts ripped through Ahmedabad, capital of the affluent western Indian state of Gujarat . These are the kind of circumstances when army need to show their resolve of not meddling in the political sphere of the country. No doubt that there will be people in the corridors of power and beyond who will be urging the army to step in and ‘save’ the country but let me tell you that country will only be saved if army stays away and let the politicians decide the future of the country, even if it means that there will be clashes on the streets of Islamabad.
