Why British Tabloid (Gutter Press) Spreads Hate Against Pakistan, Pakistan Cricket Team & Muslims In General

By Sikander Hayat

Rupert Murdoch’s tabloid press who should better be called “blackmailing phone hackers” are at it again. The gutter press like News of The World & The Sun are waging a campaign of misinformation against Pakistan cricket team. These are the same “newspapers” that get dragged into courts for many false stories and absolute lies. Phone hacking of parliamentarians is just one example of that.
These newspapers hunt down Pakistanis every time this team visits England. Be it the false unproven allegations of ball tempering or match fixing.
In their view of the world, England can never lose fairly and especially against Pakistan. There must be something corrupt about an England defeat to Pakistan.
Pakistan cricket team pays the price for English press’s hatred against the Pakistanis especially & Muslims in general who are living in United Kingdom.
The press spew venom at Muslims anytime it wants. For example today’s main headline in Express newspaper is “Muslim Plot To Kill Pope”. You have to be blind to not see the openly biased coverage of any events involving Muslims.
Today, they have said that England’s defeat to Pakistan in Oval was a fix as well. You can blame anyone for anything, but you have to prove your allegations. By providing circumstantial evidence and conducting a media trial for weeks on end is not justice but a try to imprint on the minds of general British public that “these guys” are cheats and in the process sow the seeds of mistrust
among different communities of Britain. They did the same against the Jews just before the Second World War & the propaganda was not just limited to Germany, it was spread across Europe. Same is true for Muslims now. Let us see if the consequences of this hate mongering are different this time around because the history does repeat itself, sometimes.

  2. Anonymous,

It would have been great if you had given your name and city. You have raised important points here. If in the 3rd ODI, a team has to answer some questions than that have to be England. Besides, even decent English folk know that Murdoch media empire is biased and have campaigned vigorously to bring David Cameroon into government. This is tabloid/Gutter press trying to turn public opinion against Pakistan.

India: The Terrorists Within

A day after major Indian cities were placed on high alert following blasts in the IT city of Bangalore, as many as 17 blasts ripped through Ahmedabad, capital of the affluent western Indian state of Gujarat . Some 30 people were killed, some at hospitals where bombs were timed to go off when the injured from other blasts were being brought in. (Later, in Surat, a center for the world's diamond industry, a bomb was defused near a hospital and two cars packed with explosives were found in in the city's outskirts.) Investigators pointed fingers at the usual Islamist suspects: Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), Bangladesh- based Harkat-ul Jihadi Islami (HUJI) and the indigenous Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). But even as the police searched for clues, the Ahmedabad attacks were owned up by a group calling itself the " Indian Mujahideen. " Several TV news stations received an email five minutes before the first blasts in Ahmedabad. The message repo
