ISLAMABAD: China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Luo Zhao Hui has said that Beijing intended to do more investment in Gawader Port Project as great investment opportunities are available in Pakistan. Addressing the inaugural ceremony of Hashoo Group’s Zaver Pearl Continental Hotel, Gawadar at a local hotel here on Friday, he said China would like to take advantage of the investor-friendly opportunities initiated by the government of the Pakistan. He said that Gwadar Project which is to be completed with China’s cooperation would prove a milestone in the country’s development. He observed that the future of Gwadar is bright as it connected China and Central Asian states to East and South Asian countries which would benefit the whole region in the near future.
The Chinese envoy lauded Hashoo Group for establishing an international standard hotel in Gawadar and urged the need for further development of hotel industries in the area. He said that Pakistan offered vast investment opportunities and foreign investment companies, including China, were drawn to invest in the country. Establishing hotels like Zaver Pearl Continental Hotel would bring more investors to Pakistan, he added. Gawadar port, he said, would not only attract investors but it would also play a pivotal role in the tourism industry of Pakistan. “Gawadar would be not only a trade centre but it would also attract tourist from all over the world,” he stated.
Earlier in his welcoming address, Executive Assistant Manager of Marriat Hotel Rashid Bandy lauded the efforts of Hashoo Group in the field of hotel industry in the country. He said that Gawadar Port was a master plan of the government which would create jobs for two million people in Pakistan. On the occasion, Vice President of Sale and Marketing of Hashoo Group Winston L. Rienboth brief the audience on Zaver Pearl Continental Hotel in Gawadar. This, he said, is the seventh hotel of Hashoo Group which contains 110 deluxe suits and 56 double rooms beside offering big and splendid halls for meetings and business conferences. Guests could also enjoy splendid scene of sea view from each room, he added.-SANA
