QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Excise and Taxation Sardar Rustam Jamali has warned that the government would soon launch an operation against unregistered vehicles in the province.
Addressing a meeting in Osta Muhammad town of Nasirabad district on Sunday, he said that the government was making concerted efforts to establish transparent taxation system in the province.
He said the provincial cabinet was considering a proposal to reduce 50 per cent tax on vehicles imported from Afghanistan. If the cabinet unanimously approves the proposal, then it will also generate revenue for the province.
Besides, the government will start registration of unregistered vehicles in the province. He said the people were using lifted and stolen vehicles in coastal areas, Dera Bugti, Kohlu and Loralai districts and the government will soon take action against owners of such vehicles.
