LAHORE: Pakistan national Wushu (Kung Fu) team has won one silver and one bronze medal in the 7th Asian Wushu Championship held at Macau from may 10 to 17.
It was the first time that Pakistan’s Wushu (Kung Fu) team has participated in the event with two players but both of them managed to win one medal each. Samiullah lost against a Chinese player to win silver medal in 75kg category fight while Syed Maratab Ali won bronze. The Secretary General of the Pakistan Wushu (Kung Fu) Federation Malik Iftikhar Ahmad has congratulated the team for their brilliant performance in the event. He said that Pakistan team had participated with insufficient facilities and sources so their achievements were commendable.
