Donald Trump is behaving like a Nazi by banning people from
a particular religion from entering United States. This is what Hitler did by
targeting Jews living in Europe. A whole
continent is witness to the barbarity and senselessness of collective
punishment. In 1940s, United States was
on the right side of history but in 2017, America is on the wrong side. Jews of Germany, Poland, France, Russia,
Belgium, Netherlands and other European countries suffered because of one man’s
obsession with one religion. Hitlerblamed all the problems of Germany on Jews and found them responsible for the
ills facing Europe.
Trump is dishing out same form of collective punishment toAmerican Muslims. Even people who have green cards and have lived most of their
lives in US are being deported from airports.
Although American civil society is fighting back by challenging
his arbitrary executive orders in courts of law and one New York district judgehas already given a stay order on deportation, Trump is pushing forward his
agenda of hate crafted by people like Steve Bannon.
On the other hand, he is building a wall with Mexico and has
asked the president of Mexico to not to come to United States until he also
brings a payment of 20 billion to build
the wall. In last few years, more Mexicans are going back to Mexico than coming
into United States as
Mexico’s economy is growing and doing better with the help
of NAFTA. Abolishing NAFTA will create
economic pressures on Mexico and will result in more Mexicans trying to come to
US to get the jobs that Trump will destroy in Mexico.
In first few days of his presidency, Trump has created somuch hatred against women (by signing executive orders on abortion), against
Mexicans, against Muslims, against blacks (by abolishing ObamaCare) etc. It is hard to fathom that this man is in
charge of the most important and powerful army in the world. He has the codes
to nuclear weapons and can annihilate the life on this planet and he is angry.
Today, Yemen was attacked by American Army who killed eight
women, eight children while attacking alQaida. Women and children were a collateral
damage to a war which is being fought in Arabia, Africa and Asia. It is time for Congress, Senate and Judiciary
to stop this man before he becomes an even bigger menace to the world.

I just wanted to add to above as Trump has now come up with the most conservative justice for the United States supreme court. For one whole year, Republicans held off the nominee who was put forward by Barack Obama but somehow they want Democrats to just approve their nominee straight away.
ReplyDeleteIn the midst of all this Saudi Arabian minister has come forward and agreed with Trump's Muslim ban by saying that every country has the right to defend itself and Trump is exercising this right to defend America from its enemies.
I believe that Trump's ban was made worse by stopping permanent resident (Green Card Holders) from returning back to their homes in America. The implementation of the ban was haphazard and shoddy which made it worse for its victims. Let's see what is his next move.
Donald Trump has today told in one of his tweets that Obama's deal with Australia in which it was agreed to take in 1200 migrants based in islands of Papua New Guinea was a dumb deal and that Trump will study it to see if he can allow these people to enter United States. The telephone call with the PM of Australia Michael Turnbull was cut short to 25 minutes as argument got heated and Mr Trump hung up. Australian PM is disputing this version of events.
ReplyDeleteRussia has asked Fox News to apologise for calling Vladimir Putin a killer. In an interview with Donald Trump, Bill O'Reilly asked if it was wise for US to have relationship with a killer like Putin. To which Donald Trump replied that America has its own killers.
ReplyDeleteTrump wants good relations with Russia and is willing to cede areas of influence to Russia to have those good relations.
Muslim Ban case is all set to end up in Supreme Court of United States of America 🇺🇸. This will be a landmark case to test the constitutionality of the Muslim ban as it discriminates against people of one religion for collective punishment. In my view every country has the right to defend itself against attacks and they can decide who can come in and who cannot. But a blanket ban is not a very intellectually thorough way to deal with this problem. This is a problem no doubt but how to sort it out is a very important question.
ReplyDeleteDonald Trump has lost today his first battle at the appeal court which kept the decision of the first court intact in which Trump's Muslim ban was deemed illegal.
DeleteIt is now looking even more likely that this case will end up in Supreme Court of United States 🇺🇸. There it will be finally decided if the ban is constitutionaly legal or not and if Trump can ban people from a particular religion.
Donald Trump has tweeted again and has threatened the three appeal court judges with court action. I am sure he was referring to Supreme Court but at first glance it felt as if he was threatening the appeal court with lawsuit.
DeleteThere has also been a suggestion by Trump that he will issue a new executive order which will be more in line with the constitution and will not single out a single religious group.
Time will tell the fate of such an executive order but given the current ruling if only the words are changed and the new executive order is still the same in spirit/essence, than the chances are it will be rejected by court as well.
There has also been another development where the court which has heard the appeal will vote to see if all 11 judges can hear the case again instead of original three. This is another twist in this ongoing presidential saga.
US Senator Elizabeth Warren was stopped from speaking on the senate floor because republicans found her remarks about the nomination of senator as attorney general against senate code of ethics.
ReplyDeleteSenator warren was trying to read a letter from the widow Martin Luther King Jr written thirty years ago in which she made a case against senator session serving as Supreme Court judge.
This republican senate is bullying and bulldozing any resistance posed by the democrats and is starting to behave in a way Donald Trump will be proud of.
