The UK economy has a bright future if we sell our services to the new global middle class Cycling across London on my way to a barbecue last Sunday, I couldn’t help feeling that somehow, we’ve got it all out of perspective. Every pub I passed was overflowing, and as the sunshine beat down, everywhere people appeared to be spectacularly happy. And yet it seems many of us believe that the United Kingdom is turning into a hellish place to live. According to one poll, 61 per cent think that Britain is getting worse, against just 6 per cent who think it is getting better. Government’s immigration policy does not hinder genuine students from coming to the UK and instead benefits UK universities, the Immigration Minister Damian Green has said. The minister was responding to a letter from 70 heads of universities to the Prime Minister David Cameron urging him to exclude foreign students from the overall immigration crackdown. Sir Menzies Campbell, the former Lib Dem leader and St Andrews chancellor, Sir Richard Lambert, former head of the Confederation of British Industry and chancellor of Warwick among others, signed the letter. The gutter press like News of The World & The Sun are waging a campaign of misinformation against Pakistan cricket team . These are the same “newspapers” that get dragged into courts for many false stories and absolute lies. Phone hacking of parliamentarians is just one example of that. These newspapers hunt down Pakistanis every time this team visits England. Be it the false unproven allegations of ball tempering or match fixing. In their view of the world, England can never lose fairly and especially against Pakistan. There must be something corrupt about an England defeat to Pakistan. Pakistan cricket team pays the price for English press’s hatred against the Pakistanis especially & Muslims in general who are living in United Kingdom. German football team which in the past rarely had a player from non German background in now full of players whose parents descend from different parts of the world. This applies to the whole German society, where Turkish immigrants and their children are now visible in all walks of life. Fatherland, which was once all Germanic has now some Turkish blood running through its veins. Just like when human body is introduced to blood from outside and it takes time to adjust to this new arrival, German body is trying to come to terms with this foreign blood. This is going to be the deciding factor of the 21st century that are we going to see a peaceful transition from a world where countries/societies are nearly ethnically homogeneous to a world where no country will remain "pure".
