How Will the Biden Administration Deal With Afghanistan?

 By Sikander Hayat

The urge in the US these days is to delegate everything to do with South Asia to India and make India a defence wall against Chinese aspirations. President Trump wanted to leave Afghanistan fully and to that end he was supporting and sponsoring talks between President Ghani’s government in Kabul and the Taliban. Trump drew down American troops in Afghanistan to put pressure on Ashraf Ghani's government to talk to the Taliban. Trump wanted to concentrate on the United States as the debt mountain continues to reach new heights as the  current US debt is $27.3 trillions as of January 2021.

The United States needs to get its own house in order, keep its currency as the reserve currency of the world and to do that it needs to bring down the debt levels to manageable levels and cut deficit spending.

Right now the Biden government is doing exactly the opposite by doubling down on deficit spending, spending trillions on cheques to people who in some cases don't even need this money, putting savings rates at historic highs of around 13%

It is hard to imagine if the establishment in Washington is dumb enough to create an unnesary bubble and therefore store huge problems for future generations. Due to the historic amount of money being given to people to stay home and not look for jobs, America is incentivizing idleness and a huge boom in speculative stock markets. Right now there is a frenzy to buy stocks and put savings wherever there is space. Bitcoin has reached a frothy USD 31,593 sending this biggest ever ponzi scheme to new heights of stupidity with the tacit support of the US government.

Biden has enough problems at home and Afghanistan is clearly a distraction from very important tasks at home. Worst thing the Biden Administration can do is to hand over Afghanistan to India and then move away without bringing the Taliban into government in the Pashtun provinces of Afghanistan. This will be a recipe for disaster as war will break out in Afghanistan between Indian sponsored Kabul government and the Taliban. In such a scenario Pakistan will back anyone who is fighting Indian interests on the western borders of Pakistan as Pakistan cannot tolerate Indian puppet government on its western border.

Joe Biden needs to continue with the policy of Trump and help heal the rifts in Afghanistan and help achieve a peaceful Afghanistan at peace with its neighbours and its own citizens.

India: The Terrorists Within

A day after major Indian cities were placed on high alert following blasts in the IT city of Bangalore, as many as 17 blasts ripped through Ahmedabad, capital of the affluent western Indian state of Gujarat . Some 30 people were killed, some at hospitals where bombs were timed to go off when the injured from other blasts were being brought in. (Later, in Surat, a center for the world's diamond industry, a bomb was defused near a hospital and two cars packed with explosives were found in in the city's outskirts.) Investigators pointed fingers at the usual Islamist suspects: Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), Bangladesh- based Harkat-ul Jihadi Islami (HUJI) and the indigenous Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). But even as the police searched for clues, the Ahmedabad attacks were owned up by a group calling itself the " Indian Mujahideen. " Several TV news stations received an email five minutes before the first blasts in Ahmedabad. The message repo

One of these men of war & honour were Mir Chakar Khan Rind. He is probably the most famous leader coming out of Baloch ethnic group of Pakistan. Mir Chakar Khan Rind or Chakar-i-Azam (1468 – 1565 ) was a Baloch king and ruler of Satghara in (Southern Pakistani Punjab) in the 15th century.
