Christine Fair in this month’s edition of Foreign Affairs says very clearly that India is hell bent on destabilising Pakistan by providing massive amount of funds, weapons and satellite imagery to Taliban in FATA, Balochistan and other parts of the country and a great effort is being put in by the Indian consulates in Afghanistan to this end. He is the beacon of terrorism in Pakistan and was most probably involved in Benazir’s murder. By Sikander Hayat Reuters is a very reputable organisation but when I read through the above mentioned blog which is an ongoing commentary on the events in Pakistan, I was forced to change my opinion. This blog is the most unbalanced view an organisation like Reuters can put forward and I would like to ask its administrators to look at the way it is being conducted. 1. The blog contributions on this blog are mainly made by Indian authors and keeping India Pakistan relations in mind, it is a given that this blog is extremely biased against Pakistan 2. There are very few people who make comments on articles who are not Indian, the main contributors to this blogs comments are Anitha, Anup, Sanjeev, Rajiv and some other Indians who naturally have nothing fair to say about Pakistan. By Sikander Hayat These days it is becoming very fashionable to heap praise on Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gillani but shall we be doing it at the cost of facts. Being from the same city of Multan as Yusuf Raza Gillani and Javed Hashmi, I can tell you that the Prime Minister may be a good wheeling dealing politician and he may have served prison for his beliefs but he represents the same medieval thought of “Gaddi Nasheens” which is so prevalent all over Pakistan. Gillani’s own constituency is a mess and he gets elected on the base that he is a Syed (descendent of the Prophet (PBUH)) and a lot of people who are followers of his particular “Gaddi” live in his constituency. I can tell you that despite him becoming the member of the national assembly many times, the people in his constituency have never seen any development whatsoever. Here's Mendoza's account of the visit from her pageant blog last Friday. She says the trip "was a loooot of fun!" This week, Guantánamo!!! It was an incredible experience...All the guys from the Army were amazing with us. We visited the Detainees camps and we saw the jails, where they shower, how the recreate themselves with movies, classes of art, books. It was very interesting. LAHORE: Pakistan on Tuesday questioned four suspects, including an Afghan, captured during a police academy siege on the outskirts of Lahore. Attackers armed with guns, grenades and suicide vests stormed the training centre in Manawan, unleashing eight hours of gun battles until they were overpowered by security forces. Seven police cadets, a civilian and four attackers died in the second gun assault in Lahore this month, sparking fears that violence is seeping out of the tribal badlands on the Afghan border and into the heart of Pakistan. 'Police and other intelligence agencies are interrogating the suspects. We cannot say anything for now about which group is involved,' Lahore city police chief Habibur Rehman told AFP.
